Removing the Open Hexagon download from the website

6/3/2016

I was recently notified by MediaFire that the download I put up of Open Hexagon has apparently been infected by malware. Personally, I do NOT know how this was the case, as the download has been up for nearly 2 years without issue and it was just last night when I logged into MediaFire that I noticed, that my Open Hexagon download had been taken down with a malware warning.
So, as such - the Open Hexagon download on my website has been removed.

Whether this claim was true or not is something I'll be contacting MediaFire over, but the usual download link is still up on Vittorio Romeo's website, so it's not like it was really needed anyway.

Why I Cannot Create New Open Hexagon (1.92) Packs + Site Addition

5/29/2016

Over the last year, after cancelling my (at the time) unnamed level pack, which I hoped to release about 6-10 levels for, I have been very seriously considering returning to coding for Open Hexagon again. However, after my computer had died in September 2015 and moving over to a far weaker Pentium Dual-Core laptop, I have started to question if this was even possible or not.

Well, today, after redownloading Open Hexagon v1.92 on my Pentium Dual-Core and releasing an update to Boson X for Open Hexagon, I can wholeheartedly say that I am unable to.

The reason is simple - framerate.
My current processor is (for some reason) too weak to handle Open Hexagon properly, causing various glitches while playing, mainly inescapable walls and the triangle phasing into the hexagon in the middle and killing me, which have happened countless times.

That's the kind of common thing that happens while playing on my laptop.

But I mentioned it's because of the framerate?
Yes.
You wanna know the framerate I get when playing Open Hexagon at all times?
Picture
13 FPS. That's how much I always get when playing OH.
Because of that, the game is completely unplayable, because this royally screws up many timings, desyncs music from sync-related levels, such as Dragon Mayhem & all of my packs and makes the game literally impossible because of the issues I showed in the above images.

So, sadly, I will not be returning to making level packs for Open Hexagon v1.92. The reason I updated Boson X is because the pack itself is already fully complete and just needed a few additions and 1 fix, both of which were actually plausible, so I updated it.

Hope you understand.

However, I am now officially open to host other people's level packs here!
You may have noticed 3 new pages cropping up, being "Community Packs", "Community Updates" and "Submit".
"Community Packs" is a page where your level packs will be hosted! "Community Updates" are your level packs' changelogs! If you submit an update to an already-submitted level pack, the changelog that you include will be put in "Community Updates" for everyone to know what has changed!
Lastly, "Submit" is pretty simple - it's a page with a contact form for submitting your level packs! I will take a look at the submitted level pack, check if it works properly and if it meets at least that - the pack shall be hosted on the website!

While I'm not expecting any submissions, it's still worth a shot, I guess!

Reverting updates of SHfOH and SH2-TUS.

5/29/2016

After over a god damn year, I have finally noticed that both SHfOH and SH2-TUS crash on the ending levels, presumably because of that "fix" that Emik 03 once suggested.
I must have poorly implemented it, causing the game to overflow because of the command.

As such, both packs have been reverted back to their versions prior to v1.6.0.1 for SHfOH and v1.2.0.2 for SH2-TUS.

For over a year, this has been an issue! Good god I am a fucking idiot!

New "News" page is live!

5/27/2016

The new "News" page is live! I have created an entirely separate and improved News page, which not only will categorize all the posts through pages, thus decreasing used RAM on your PCs, it also has comments so you can comment on any and all future blog posts that I write, powered by Disqus.

Fear not, old posts have not been trashed. The old "News" page has been renamed to "News (Old)" and will always be accessible on the sidebar in the right.

A new page shall be made every 10 blog posts here, that's why I think it's going to be better organized.

Hope you all enjoy, have a great evening.
